Norway Flag Color Codes with HEX, RGB, CMYK & Pantone
- Norwegian Red: #BA0C2F
- White: #FFFFFF
- Norwegian Blue: #00205B
The Norwegian flag has 3 primary colors, which are red, white and blue. The table below has the common and popular codes of these colors in HEX, RGB and CMYK formats along with Pantone (PMS), RAL and NCS (Natural Color System). Please note that HEX and RGB codes are to be used for digital works and web pages (including HTML and CSS) while the CMYK values are for printers.
The Norwegian flag is based on the Danish flag (Dannebrog) and has an indigo colored Nordic/Scandinavian cross fimbriated with white on a red field. The colors are referred to as Norwegian Red and Norwegian Blue by the flag manufacturer, Langkilde & Søn, who have also tried to standardise them with the Pantone Matching System (PMS) as 200 and 281.
However, official government web site specify these colors as Pantone 032 U and Pantone 281 U. Unfortunately, there is no consensus amongst officials and the Nordic Flag Society lists these colors as PMS 186 and PMS 287. The confusion is made worse by the Nordic Council defining the colors as Pantone 186 C for red and Pantone 301 for blue.
