Country Flags

The flag of Dominica features their national bird, the sisserou parrot (<i>Amazona imperialis</i>). On the flag, the bird is in purple color.

The Danish flag, the Dannebrog, was adopted in 1625 as the national flag making it the oldest country flag in use today.

The flag of Scotland has a white field with a blue saltire or St. Andrews cross (crux decussata).

The flag of England has a white field with a red St. George cross.

The flag of Maldives has a crescent in the middle.

Red is the most common color found in country flags.
