US State Flags

In the front, the flag of Oregon has the state shield with the year of admission into the Union (1859) and a beaver at the reverse.

Six states, Hawaii, Ohio, Wyoming, Tennessee, Texas and Arkansas, sport the same colors as the US flag - red, white and blue. Puerto Rico flag also has the same colors but in lighter tints.

Seven states and territories have 2-colored flags - Oregon, Alaska, New Mexico, South Carolina, Indiana, Washington D.C. and Alabama.

The flag of Alabama has two colors - a white field with St. Patrick's cross which is a red saltire.
